I've gathered a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience. The list of questions is complimentary to Portrait sessions. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY WEDDING/SESSION?
The earlier, the better! The best way to ensure wedding services/portrait session is to contact me as soon as possible about availability! All weddings and regular portrait sessions are on a first come, first serve basis. Weddings can book as far as 1-2 years in advance. I highly recommend booking regular portrait sessions at least a couple months in advance to secure the date you want.
HOW DO I BOOK?
Simply click the contact tab to send your inquiry! $50 of your session is due immediately to complete the booking process. The initial deposit of $50 is non-refundable in case of cancellation or no show. Once we pick a date, and I receive the initial deposit, the session will be reserved for you. Initial deposits can be paid via PayPal and the remainder of the investment is due at time of session. If the initial deposit is not paid within 3 days of request then the slot will reopen to the public. Sessions WILL NOT be reserved until I have received the initial deposit. A couple days before your session I will contact you to make sure we are still on for our session and go over any details, locations, etc.
I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM YOU YET, ARE WE STILL RESERVED FOR A SESSION?
To ensure my attention is 100% on your session, I will contact you within a few days of your desired date to go over all details, locations, etc. PLEASE hold any questions or ideas you may have come up with in the meantime until then.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE?
Things happen. If you realize you are going to be late, please contact me as soon as possible. Late sessions will still end on time. I typically schedule sessions back to back, so please be mindful! Late arrivals after 15 minutes with no phone call will be considered NO CALL NO SHOW, and the session will immediately be cancelled.
DO YOU RESCHEDULE?
If you are in need of rescheduling, please make sure you contact me ASAP- even if you have overslept or just don't have the energy for the day- it is all understandable. There may be times when I may have to also! If the weather is inclement or even looks like there is the possibility of a storm, rescheduling is a MUST.
WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT PROCESS?
For general investments, an initial deposit of $50 is due immediately in order to confirm a session. The remainder investment is due at the time of the session. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted ( Credit card is an additional 2.7% processing fee). If you are interested in a session but can't afford it at the time, payment arrangements can be made! Once paid in full, the photos will be released to you. A $15 extra fee will be added if the check issued is insufficient.
DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?
No studio! After a lot of thought, I've decided to close my in home studio. I am however happy to come to you and photograph in the convenience of your own home! If you are looking for studio space instead of your home, one can be provided for a $35 fee.
DO YOU HAVE PROPS AND SPECIFIC LOCATIONS?
Minimal props are included as long as I have them readily available. I HIGHLY recommend bringing props if you would like them incorporated into you photos! As far as locations, I have a select few I traditionally go to but if you have any ideas for locations, just let me know! I have no problem traveling and going to new places! This also goes for indoor sessions. Indoor sessions are available but limited. Traveling fee MAY occur depending on location.
WHAT DOES YOUR PRICE INCLUDE?
The price covers preprocess, post process, taxes, fees, and anything else that is devoted to developing your product.
DO YOU PRINT?
As of right now, I DO NOT offer prints. In order to ensure the quality of your photos, an online password protected gallery has been provided to you for viewing and purchasing purposes. If you wish to purchase elsewhere, you can add a disc, digital download of gallery, or custom photo USB for an additional fee. Fees can be found under the Session & Investment link.
DO YOU DELIVER EVERY IMAGE YOU SHOOT? CAN I HAVE ALL OF THE UNEDITED IMAGES AS WELL AS THE EDITED IMAGES?
Unfortunately, no. I solely distribute edited images which are the best of the session! I eliminate duplicates, test images, out of focus images, images with bad expressions, and any other images that will dilute the overall product delivery.
HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Turnaround time for portrait sessions are 2-3 weeks, depending on the season. Turnaround times are not guaranteed especially during certain seasons. I will try my best to get them back to you as soon as possible! If for some reason it takes longer, I will contact you and let you know! Once the photos are finished you will receive your link and any product added/included to your session will be mailed a couple days after. Wedding photograph turnaround times differ. Please keep in mind the turnaround time when scheduling a session that has a deadline ( i.e birthday invitations).
WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
I also photograph weddings almost every weekend along with multiple sessions during the week. Each session I carefully go through all the images and pick the best of them. Afterwards, I edit each one individually, making sure each one is as perfect as it could be! I also have a small family which is very important to me and I need to make sure they get my attention as well.
I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A UNIQUE SESSION, WOULD YOU STILL BE ABLE TO DO IT?
If there is an idea that doesn't necessarily fit within my current range of work, contact me. I am always up or new experiences, and expanding my portfolio! Everything is flexible :)
HOW COME I DON'T HAVE ANY PHOTOS OF MY CHILD SMILING? WHY ARE SOME PHOTOS MISSING?
One of the most important aspects to remember in photography is that ALL PHOTOS ARE CIRCUMSTANTIAL, especially when dealing with small children ( cranky, nervous, etc.). It may be difficult and you may possibly end up with photos not originally desired. I will try my ABSOLUTE BEST to make them comfortable! Same thing goes for any events, weddings, etc.- when you have an excited family member, friend, or guest sometimes they get a little photo happy and jump in the way. This situation makes it extremely difficult if not impossible to get the desired shot. I will always try my best to capture every single smile and moment, but after all, I am human and nobody is perfect :)
